Why I Donated….

Story submitted by Keri Topf:

In, I believe it was 2016, we took my mother to the hospital for what wound up to be an intestinal obstruction. We later found out it was a tumor in her colon…colon cancer. She had surgery and required a lot of care after but we did all we could do at home. It was a long journey, years of chemo, but we got through it and she went into remission.

Not long after her bloodwork came back badly. It was back. We did all we could and she fought hard. During her worst times I battled my own demons…but Greg was there.  He was the rock that kept her together.

Sadly, she lost her battle on 4/1/2020. But because of the love and care she received she saw her grandson go to prom, graduate high school, and go on to college.

I donated because I don’t want any family to go through the pain of a cancer diagnosis…and the incredible loss that is felt.

I know Greg will push hard and will help with the cause. You got this!
