Day Five… Windy and Wet

Hi all, can you believe how far Greg has already made it?! We are already here on day five, but I did want to share some highlights from yesterday first. 30+ people completed their first 100-mile ride yesterday!

Greg tuned into the One Year Out Virtual event, marking one year to go to the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, yesterday evening from his hammock.

Greg spotted a peacock!!

Fun fact: Greg stayed across the street from Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center last night.

… Ok now onto the very windy and wet day five. Today is onto Weedsport Speedway. Which was also the day it rained last year. Greg is in a battle with mother nature this morning, between incredibly strong wing gusts, making it very hard to make any headway, and the rain. Greg shared that the wind is 25+ mph headwind, which as you can see below, is strong enough to move a bike.

Here are some cool photos and videos that Greg has passed along from Day 5 so far:

Greg has been adopted by this dog!!

I think Greg’s GPS was trying to taunt him this morning…

Let’s keep cheering Greg on to push it through the rainiest, windiest day. Below is a screenshot from the Empire State Ride web site, showing the total raised so far!!
